Panaché Novelty is one fast-rising fashion house in Abuja, Nigeria.
Seeing from personal experience that they are a trusted brand, we requested to have an interview with the founder who informed us that the reason for their steadily improving relationships with clients is based on trust. According to her, their word is their bond.
Q: Could you give us a little insight into Panaché Novelty; who you are, what you make, where we can find you?
A: Panaché (pə-nash) Novelty is a Nigerian based clothing fashion brand, specialized in making bespoke and ready to wear unisex clothing.
We are located at 3, Panama Street, Ministers Hill, Maitama.
Q: How long has Panaché Novelty been dressing customers up?
A: Panaché Novelty has been dressing customers up for one year & six months now
Q: Who is an ideal target customer for Panaché Novelty?
A: Panaché Novelty’s target market includes vibrant, fashion-savvy, quality loving, and trend-aware individuals.
Q: In the face of much competition, what do you think differentiates Panché Novelty from other designs?
A: 1. Integrity; our word is our bond. 2. Our commitment to excellence.
Q: What’s the goal/vision for PANACHÉ NOVELTY in the fashion world?
A: Our vision is to build a premier fashion clothing brand that inspires, educates, empowers and contributes to sustainable development.
Q: Fashion is a dynamic sector, we hear many big brand names both internationally and locally these days. Do you believe you can become one of the fashion mega houses?
A: YES!
Q: How would you rate the Nigerian fashion industry?
A: The Nigerian fashion industry is fast-growing, highly creative and doing amazing amazing things.
Q: Is the Nigerian market encouraging?
A: Yes the Nigerian market is encouraging, it may take some time to get ones footing, but it definitely gets better…as the saying goes “Rome was not built in a day.”
Q: What are the challenges you face in this industry?
A: The challenges for Panaché Novelty so far have been:
- Access to funding for expansion.
- Lack of steady power supply.
Q: What inspires your designs?
A: This depends on what design is being created. Generally fashion is art and art is everywhere, we find inspiration from people, nature…(look at the way the blue sky, green trees, yellow flower, red flowers, purple flowers, the birds, hills and everything in nature blend together in harmony), movies, beach, museum, restaurants, books, Pinterest etc…there is beauty all around us, we simply open our eyes to the world to be inspired.
If bespoke, it will be based on the client’s specifications.
Q: How do you contribute to having more creative fashion designers out there?
A: By training and developing fashion designers through our fashion academy; Panaché Novelty Fashion Academy, which has so far graduated three sets from January 2019 till date.
Q: How responsive is the social media world to your trade?
A: Social Media is highly responsive to fashion. One just needs to build credibility and gain the trust of your followers.
Most of the students of Panaché Novelty Fashion Academy came through social media.
Q: Where do you see Panaché Novelty in 10 years?
A: I see Panaché Novelty growing, adding value, creating more jobs and contributing to sustainable development.
Q: What’s the power of fashion in society?
A: Fashion is important in society because it has the potential to bring different people together to celebrate their own individuality. Fashion is a form of self-expression; it allows people to express their personality. The best way to enjoy fashion is to wear what you love and be yourself!
Fashion also creates employment and contributes significantly to the nation’s economy.
